​Devereux Whippets

Devereux Whippets  is located in Middle Tennessee.  Cecil & Robin Brown & their daughter Angie Grace Bass created Devereux through pure love and passion for the whippet breed.  

We have been involved in whippets since the mid-90's. We have been blessed with much success in the breed ring, on the field and track, as well as in the obedience, rally and agility ring over the years obtaining TC, RACH, DC, GCH, CH, FC, LCX, SC, MC, OTR, FCh, RE, RA, RN, CD, BN, MX, MXJ, DPCX, ARX, TRP, CAV, CAVX titles all owner handled. Our whippets have accomplished Multi-Best In Fields, Multi-BBE Best in Shows, Puppy BIS, Multi-Hound Group and NOHS Wins, Multi-Specialty Selects, Multi-Top Twenty in AKC Breed and Field, AWC Versatility Winners, Top Triathlon placings and #1 DC in the country and recipient of the AWC Dream Trophy and multiple CWA Meet winners. Most important of all, our whippets are the best companions that anyone could ever ask for! 

We are members of WRAP (Whippet Rescue and Placement), AWC (American Whippet Club), GRR (Georgia Rag Racing), SMART (Smokey Mountain Area Racing TN), NDTC (Nashville Dog Training Club), MOTC (Murfreesboro Obedience Training Club). 

We love to educate others on our breed, events for purebred dogs, whippet rescue, canine nutrition, conditioning and care.  We are proud distributors of Rogue Pet Science supplements.

It is so important to us to preserve the health, quality, beauty and temperament of our breed. We truly believe whippets are the best kept secret in the dog world. Prior to breeding we health test both sire and dam for healthy hearts, eyes and ears. The sire and dam will have the conformation that adheres to the AKC whippet standard, complimentary pedigrees and of course the wonderful temperaments that whippets should always charm us with.  Also, we believe that a whippet being considered for breeding should be able to do what it was created for, be a wonderful athlete with the heart and soul to run, run, run!

HEALTH, TEMPERAMENT, BEAUTY and ATHLETICISM, these are all the qualities that we strive for in our breeding program. This is what we believe every whippet should possess and what will preserve our breed. So that's Devereux Whippets and a little about us.
